Biography
Sara Govert is a San Francisco-based artist originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, but has been living in the Bay Area since 2010. She currently paints self-portraits of her own naked body as a kind of gentle analysis of her physical and emotional relationship with herself, placing herself in the vulnerable position of being seen and thus analyzed. She has exhibited in the local Bay Area galleries Drawing Room Annex in the show SUPERHYPERLOCAL (2025) and Minnesota Street Project in the show So Over So Back (2026).
